Shri Kshethra Subrahmanya at Mugwa near Honavar is a traditional temple to Lord Subrahmanya (Kartikeya). It is a different temple from Kukke Subramanya.
This peaceful temple at Mugwa, a short drive east of Honavar, is dedicated to Lord Subrahmanya, also known as Kartikeya, Skanda or Murugan. He is the son of Shiva and Parvati. Don't confuse it with the much larger Kukke Subramanya temple in Dakshina Kannada.
The temple follows traditional coastal Karnataka architecture and celebrates several festivals through the year, when it fills with music and processions.
