The Blue Bay Cafe
This is a hidden gem (pure vegetarian), just off Eco beach. The chef Sitaram was really warm and helped us settle in. It's a nice and cozy joint, well made with a lot of positive vibes. The washroom is also clean.
Mr. Sitaram helped us through the menu and we ended up having North Indian combo (2 paratha and mix dal), one Chinese combo (fried rice + Gobi Manchurian) and one French Fries. Both the combo portions were good and it was made in less oil. Dal was little subtle but the taste was good. Chinese combo was really yummy. Fries were also good and crispy. Gadbad ice cream is a must try! It's a combination of 3 ice cream scoops with fruits infused within.
Would recommend this restaurant for people travelling to gokarna (from Mangalore side). Especially for those who prefer only pure veg restaurants, those can be difficult to find at times, in coastal areas.

The ambience of the place is good. We were the two of us and we tried a whole bunch of different sorts of food ranging from pani puri to alu paratha to puri bhaji achar meal combo.
Taste can definitely be improved. The waiters were quite friendly and gave an overall great service!

Excellent restaurant 25-30 meters from a pristine beach, good ambience, tasty food prepared by chef Sitharam. We had 2 grilled sandwiches, masala dosas, kokam soda, ragi malt.
