North of Honavar, a narrow sandbar separates the backwater from the sea at Pavinakurve. A slim suspension footbridge (two-wheelers ride across too) links it to the mainland and makes a great photo.
The beach itself is a working fishing beach with boats drawn up on the sand. It's peaceful, with the sea on one side and calm backwater on the other.
Tips
- Several beach stays sit along this shore. See where to stay.
