Ramanagindi is a broad, gently shelving beach at Holegadde, about 13 km north of Honavar just over the Kumta taluk line. A green headland closes the bay at one end and rocks break the surf at the other, so the whole curve of sand feels private.
Visitors keep coming back to the same words: clean, wide and empty. There are no shacks or crowds, just fishermen, a few families and long evening walks as the sun goes down over the Arabian Sea.
Climb a little way up the slope behind the beach for the view across the bay. There are no facilities, so carry water and take everything back with you.
Tips
- No lifeguards. Wade, don't swim.
- Leave the beach as clean as you found it.
