The Coastal Breeze is a riverfront homestay about a kilometre from the Honavar bus stand, on the edge of the wide Sharavathi River backwaters. The rooms are in tall wooden-gabled cottages with glass fronts and balconies that look straight out over the water.
Sunsets are the highlight: the sun drops behind the river with fishing boats in the foreground. The hosts run their own backwater boat rides from the property and serve home-cooked South Indian, North Indian and local meals from a fixed menu.
Kasarkod Eco Beach is about 4 km away by road. Check-in is from 1 pm and check-out by 11 am.
