Kodlamane Vishnumurthy Temple

Kodlamane Shree Vishnumurthy Temple is an old forest temple in Honavar taluk, reached by a short trek, with a fine Garuda pillar at its gate.

Kodlamane Vishnumurthy Temple

Said to have been discovered in dense forest centuries ago, the Kodlamane Vishnumurthy temple is considered a tirtha kshetra. The approach is a short forest walk and the temple's Garuda stambha (pillar) at the main gate is a fine piece of traditional craft.

The annual Rathotsava (chariot festival) draws pilgrims from across the region.
