Gokarna

Gokarna, 55 km north of Honavar, combines the ancient Mahabaleshwar temple with a string of cliff-backed beaches: Kudle, Om, Half Moon and Paradise.

Gokarna

Gokarna is a temple town first. The Mahabaleshwar temple houses the Atmalinga and draws pilgrims year-round. Over the headland lie its famous coves: Kudle, Om, Half Moon and Paradise beaches, linked by cliff paths.

Walk from Kudle to Om beach in the late afternoon and stay for sunset. Mirjan Fort is on the way back to Honavar.
