Yana Rocks

Yana, 50 km from Honavar, has two giant black karst rock formations, Bhairaveshwara and Mohini Shikhara, rising out of Western Ghats forest.

Yana Rocks

Two enormous black karst monoliths tower over the forest at Yana: Bhairaveshwara Shikhara (about 120 m) and Mohini Shikhara (about 90 m). A cave shrine to Bhairaveshwara sits at the base, where water drips continuously onto a natural linga.

A gentle forest walk leads from the car park to the rocks.
